Switch to products that are natural, organic and friendly to mother earth. One of the biggest myths around eco-friendly skincare products are that they are not so price friendly. Check out our skincare range which starts from INR 65 only!

Our story

 ॐ तत्सदिति निर्देशो ब्रह्मणस्त्रिविध: स्मृत: |
ब्राह्मणास्तेन वेदाश्च यज्ञाश्च विहिता: पुरा || 23||

oṁ tat sad iti nirdeśho brahmaṇas tri-vidhaḥ smṛitaḥ
brāhmaṇās tena vedāśh cha yajñāśh cha vihitāḥ purā

Tatsat is a Sanskrit word that appears in the Chapter 17 of the Bhagavad Gita, signifying truth and purity. It translates into “all that is true and pure”.

Tatsat, as it is today, was conceptualised and started in 2006 to bridge the gap between eco-conscious consumers looking for contemporary “green” products, and the marginalized producers in the country who did not have a direct access to mainstream markets. Our focus was on providing an array of sustainable, contemporary lifestyle products to our customers. Sourcing from NGOs, self-help groups, green producers, tribal groups, individuals artisans and weavers, we have gradually expanded to over fifty groups spread all across the country.

What had begun as a “shop with a cause” has now evolved into a “socially-conscious store”. Our focus on the 3 Ps of people, profit and planet has helped us achieve the fourth P of prosperity. What had started as a store run by a single family now spells livelihood for over 60 families, who cohesively work together as one big community.
From a store in Hauz Khas in New Delhi, we are now taking our business online so that we can spread the joy and cheer that comes from being and buying organic.

GREEN LIVING

Just as ‘Green’ on a traffic signal means it’s time to GO, similarly ‘Living Green’ means it’s time to GROW in harmony with nature. It’s all about the pursuit of knowledge and making ecologically responsible decisions to protect the environment.
But do we assume that as an individual we can do nothing to save our natural resources from depletion? Well, the reality is that our individual minimal contributions have a great impact on the environment.
Adopting a sustainable lifestyle not only benefits the environment but also rewards us for our efforts. One can go for replacing incandescent lights with CFLs that use up to 75% less energy and save money. We must shop for some inexpensive reusable water bottles, and stop buying those plastic bottles. These plastic bottles are difficult to recycle and take about 500 years on an average to decompose.
We can enjoy the rains and collect this rain water to water plants. Make sure that there are no leaky faucets and use a bucket instead of taking a shower, thus saving water.  Going for organic food is also a good idea which not only saves environment from toxic fertilizers but also gives better nutrients for healthy living.
Turning the lights off when you leave the room is the simplest way to Go Green. Unplug unused chargers and appliances as well. Do not take a print out unless necessary, print both sides thus Saving Paper, Saving Trees!!
It’s really simple and is all about becoming a little conscious about your practices and changing the way we consume. It not just helps your planet but also you and your family. Tatsat offers you a wide range of environment friendly products to choose from and ‘Go Green’ this season.

Tatsat gives you recycled products in a completely new form such as colorful vases made out of broken bangles, bags & clutches made out of recycled tyres, fashion jewellery made out of recycled cloth, recycled wooden products.. Sounds great, rite? You can also try a complete range of organic skincare products, smoke-free incense sticks along with a variety of handmade paper,  elephant poop paper, cotton rag paper etc.
We strive to make our Earth greener… We are becoming a conscious consumer... Are you?

SKIN CARE… goes natural !!

Each one of us still long for baby soft skin… but where is it actually lost..? As we grow, our skin loses its natural moisture, nutrients and softness as it is exposed to the environment.
Cosmetic products, available in the market and extensively used by us, are reported to contain certain suspect and known toxic ingredients. The synthetic ingredients in these cosmetics require a large amount of energy to be eliminated from the body.
Anything which is put on our skin is believed to enter our body through the pores and eventually into the circulation system. Therefore, it is essential to wisely select the products for our skin just as we do when we choose our food.
Natural products and the oils extracted from plants are extensively used for body care and therapeutic purpose these days. They are readily accepted by our immune system as non-foreign substances.
These natural skin care products work towards incorporating nutrients into the skin which are lost as a result of aging or on exposure to the harsh environment.
Undoubtedly, natural skin care is the best possible solution for a clear, radiant and more beautiful skin.
So this summer, explore the new natural skin care range at Tatsat and let your skin shine naturally, just like the beautiful pearls.
Tatsat offers a range of oils which are naturally-extracted such as Apricot oil for softening & moisturizing your skin and Bhringaraj-Amla for preventing hair fall & premature graying. You can also try the new range of body-wash prepared by blending the naturally extracted aloevera, lavender and lemon grass. The hand-made soaps are undoubtedly the best natural exfoliators. Natural rose water and facial scrubs on the other hand pamper your skin.
Switch to naturals and delight your skin by letting it breathe the way nature has intended it to!!

Mother's Day!

We have grown up with an intense belief in one of the Jewish proverbs; “God could not be everywhere, so he created MOTHERS”.
The word ‘MAA’ which is the very first one a child learns to speak is a whole world in itself. A mother’s hug is just so enough to make us feel secure and blow away our unknown fears. She is the one who has a skill to scold us while her heart is pounding with love. She is the one who welcomes the smiles of your childhood to teenage frowns with her arms wide open. She is your best mate, your inspiration, your admirer, your philosopher, your best chef, your sunshine……
No amount of words is actually enough to thank her for everything she does for us. So come, let’s greet her this Mother’s Day with a token of love from Tatsat gift range especially dedicated to our loving mothers.
Tatsat brings a whole new range of Madhubani and Kalamkari sarees, suits and dupattas to add beauty to her grace. Surprise her with matching hand bags and jewellery which she would love to adorn herself with.
Make your mom pamper herself with the new range of natural skin care products ranging from scrubs, body & hair oils to shampoos etc. Making her relive memories with multi-picture wooden photo frames would also be a great idea.  Beautifully and tenderly painted pebbles would definitely fetch her broad smile.
We also bring a host of other gift options such as plants to decorate her garden, magnets & candles to beautify her home and aroma to rejuvenate her mind, body & soul.
Join us this week at Tatsat and make her day special !!

REED DIFFUSERS

When someone mentions the words "home fragrance products", what comes to mind? Candles? Air freshener spray? Plug-in room scents? Now you can add reed diffusers to this list. You might see them in every day use and not realize it. Here are some simple information on what a diffuser is, how do they work, and who uses them.

What is a reed diffuser? A reed diffuser is a home fragrance product that comes in three parts: a bottle/container, scented oil, and reeds. They come in an assortment of shapes, size, and fragrances from a simple clear bottle to a decorative shape jar. To determine which size to use will need to be determined depending on the size of room you plan on using it in. A small reed diffuser will work wonderfully in a bathroom, which is typically small whereas a waiting room in a doctors office will need something larger to ensure the full room will be fragrant.

How do they work? Reed diffusers are quite simple to use as they are safe, do not require a flame like candles and are nearly maintenance free. To get it working simply remove the packaging and set all the elements on a flat surface. Next, uncap the oil and pour the fragrance oil into the empty vessel or uncap the container which the oil is already housed. (Note: some reed diffusers come with the oil ready to be used in the decorative vessel.) Lastly, insert the reeds into the filled vessel and enjoy. The reeds have tiny straw-like openings that run the whole length of the reed. These reeds, when moistened, soaks up the oil and carries it along the whole reed. While some sticks may take a while to absorb the oil, it is recommended to flip the reeds after 1 hour of first inserting them into the oil, to get them working faster.

Who uses diffusers? If you have a room, then you can use a reed diffuser. While most people use reed diffusers in the home in places like the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and living room more and more people are using them outside the home. Reed diffusers can be found in lawyer and doctor's office waiting rooms to help calm clients. Those in nursing homes and retirement places welcome them as they not only hide smells they are pretty to admire. Real estate agents recommend them to decorate sellers homes. Also, diffusers are prevalent in spas and beauty shops honing in the aromatherapy aspect they bring. Since these products are a popular way to make any room smell nice they make great gifts for even the hard to buy for person on your gift giving lists.

Now that the festival season sets in, fill the lives of your near and dear ones with fragrances they can live with, with every breath they take. Alter their lives, their minds, moods and even their healths. Or else gift yourself a beautiful beginning and swirl into the aromatic world of fragrances and feel from within the change, the light, the power! And see how you spread it!
